I am having trouble with x-rebind-key. The version that exists here is broken in some other respect (18.57.1) and therefore I wish to isntall the lastest (18.59.1). The current rev was built and install by someone else and left undocumented and the source was removed; therefore, I have no clue what was done to make x-rebind-key work properly, as it does. I have X11R5 on an aviion running dgux 5.4.2; FYI. The error I receive is: Symbol's function definition is void: x-rebind-key The code for this seems to be in X11fns.c but it is commented out by 2 defines (#ifdef foobar and #ifdef notdef). If I remove these define's compilation fails: ---- undefined first referenced symbol in file _XRebindCode x11fns.o ld fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to temacs ---- I have been unable to find XRebindCode. does anyone have any ideas ? are those ifdef's supposed to be there (they are there in 18.58 also). mail appreciated: heas@chpc.org thanks, -heas
