Posting to USENET using GNUS

I am trying to post using GNUS. So far I have only been able to 
followup on other people's posting. I am experimenting with this
message by editing the headers. If this does not work, can some-
one tell me how I can go about posting to USENET. I have not been
successful in locating a manual or help file on my system. The
administrators here seem to have deleted most of the documents
from the system.
