Unreadable articles

Occasionally, I am not able to read an article because the *Articles*
window doesnt let me move to the line of an article - it jumps right
past it as if it were not there.  But I can trick it by first reading
all the other articles, quiting the group, and then reentering the
group.  Has anyone else seen this behavior?  I can send the details of
my configuration to anyone interested.

Here are the header lines of one such article:
