I am currently using gnus version 3.13. The problem that I run into is that I can't post from inside of gnus properly. When I first start up emacs, don't M-x gnus, I can M-x postnews and my post gets fired off no problem and is posted. Checking with lastcomm I can see that it properly calls the inews program. Then when I M-x gnus, if no matter how I try and post a, f, F, my posting fails. I get back an error regarding authentication. I check and it hasn't properly called inews. I have tried setting either or both news-inews-program and nnspool-inews-program to point to the proper inews program with no luck. Any suggestions? Is there some variable that I am not setting or setting improperly to be able to post from inside of GNUS. I have spent quite a bit of time on this problem and asked other hard-core emacs users but haven't had any luck in figuring out what's going on. /* === Bryan Nehl ========== kodiak@Kodiakpc.Manhattan.KS.US =========+ [ USDA-ARS-NPA-WERU ][ bdn@chepil.weru.ksu.edu ] [ 913.532.6233 or 913.532.6495 ][ kodiak@matt.ksu.ksu.edu ] +_______________ ...!rutgers!matt.ksu.ksu.edu!kodiak _______________ */
