I have got a simple question which I believe is not a FAQ: Is it possible to mark a rectangular region and apply all kind of commands related with region (e.g., upcase-region, downcase-region, capitalize-region, center-region, indent-region, etc...) to such a rectangular region? Obviously, functions in rect.el only offer limited commands to deal with rectangular regions. Any hint/help is welcome and will be appreciated. Thanks.. -lw (wang@math.ufl.edu)
