Need help defining terminal type on VMS.

Hi,

Could someone give me a clue on how to set up GNU emacs v18.52 (can't get
18.57 to work) to recognize the key sequences of a vt240 under VMS.

I've tried defining emacs_term to be vt240 with no luck. I've also in my
.emacs file tried the command (load "vt240"). With this method upon startup
it says it loads the file but emacs still doesn't recognize the escape key.
I realize that I'm a novice but isn't there vms specifics described
somewhere?

Thanks for any insight,
Jeff VanderDoes
