1. Could anyone tell me how can I map the most frequently used "Meta-X"
key combination into a single key? (By using  
(global-set-key "\e[224z" "\M-x")  or
(global-set-key "\e[224z" "meta-x") or xmodmap
I tried to map it onto the F1 key in vain. 

2. Is there any emacs on the Apollo-workstation?
