I am trying to install emacs on a 386 running SCO Unix 3.2.2 and have been
getting nothing but trouble. I downloaded and build GCC which seemed to
help, but the executable of emacs i got after building it using gcc does
nothing except sit there and beep at me with some error message.

Is there anybody out there who has had success building emacs on this type of
computer/OS? If so, please send me info direct via e-mail, as I am not sure that I will read the newsgroups much.

Thanks a bunch in advance

Alan
