Nucleotide Seq. editing mode for Emacs?

Hello, world.

Has anyone written (or know of) an Emacs editing mode for nucleotide
or protein sequences? Optimally, it would be able to read/write GCG
formatted entries, but any standard format would be OK (Multiple
Alignment editing would be a great feature).

Thanks,

nathan
