I thought that I was the only one who had this problem. I thought it had something to do with the fact that my machine runs Emacs version 18.55.0 because the Sys Admins haven't found time to upgrade it. I just switched back to VM version 4.41 which doesn't have that problem though I do miss some of the nice features of 5.31 like mail buffers with unique names (as opposed to the default *mail* name), and, the ability to mark multiple messages and run a command on all of them. Oh well! -Ravi- p.s. - I still don't understand. Why is VM 5.31 the only package I have tried that actually crashes emacs? Surely it should have some kind of protection built in.
