No, you were making a common mistake in thinking that VM sorted by date
and I pointed out that this capability does not exist.

   When a package consistently moves one particular message to the
   "bottom" of my INBOX because the day field of the date says 08 instead
   of 8, I tend to call that sorting. Mea culpa!

It is not sorting BY DATE.

   Anyone care to post a hack, instead of a semantic critique of the
   request? 8)

I suggest that no one help this incredibly rude and insulting person.
