I have gnu emacs 18.55 running on vms 5.1 but the meta key
doesn't work.  Is this a termcap problem?  Does anyone have
a termcap entry that enables the meta key (ie the compose
character key by the space bar).

Also, to ask this question again, does anyone have emacs 
running under dec windows.  I tried to compile it for awhile
but it keeps barfing since vms seems to lack the fcntl facility.
