well, i've been trying to install emacs-18.59 on VMS 5.4-3 and all in all i
don't think i've been getting any problems.  at least i can't find any....BUT
the older version of emacs i use to use (emacs-18.55) had source that allowed
it to use DECWindows, and i'd like to use this for the 18.59 version.  i tried
to finagle a solution by mixing the new and the old but i haven't been able
to fix the whole thing just yet.

sorry but about the prelude, but all i really wanted to know is where do i
find emacs code so i can use the DECWindows stuff, like i had for the older
version?
