First, a meta-problem: I am unable to find an address for bug reports in any of the obvious files (README, PROBLEMS, etc.) in the distribution. The specific question I had concerned the interaction of tvtwm and epoch/gnuemacs. It is supposed to be the case in tvtwm that if the currently active portion of the virtual desktop is not in the upper left corner, then geometry specifications for newly-started X programs that give position indications will be treated as being relative to the currently screen. Epoch and gnuemacs treat all geometry position specifications as relative to the origin of the virtual desktop. More concretely, lets say my tvtwm virtual desktop is 4 screens wide and 2 screens high, and I'm currently in the third screen from the left in the top row. If my .Xdefaults gives epoch*screen.geometry: 163x55+5+5 epoch*minibuf.geometry: 100x2+5+730 then starting a new epoch will put both the minibuffer and the initial screen on the *first* screen of the virtual desktop, where it will be invisible to me. Anybody know what the problem is here? Thanks... Dave
