<Dave> First, a meta-problem: I am unable to find an address for bug reports
<Dave> in any of the obvious files (README, PROBLEMS, etc.) in the
<Dave> distribution.
Postings to gnu.epoch.misc (or, equivalently, mailing to
epoch@cs.uiuc.edu) constitute bug reports. No, it isn't in the
distribution, but it will be in the next release of the FAQ. :-)
[epoch screens come up at the origin of the virtual screen under
tvtwm, not at the origin of the current screen]
<Dave> Anybody know what the problem is here?
This is supposed to be fixed as of Epoch 4.2. Do you have the latest
version? If not, get it, and see if the problem is still there.
From an old release of the FAQ:
Z-1: Under tvtwm, when I create a new screen, it is mapped relative to
the origin on the virtual desktop, not the window I currently have on
the desktop. How do I fix this?
This problem is present in Epoch4.0 beta level 0, although it appears
to be fixed as of beta level 1. The simple solution for beta level 0
is to change the line in src/screen.c from
size_hints.flags |= (gmask & (XValue|YValue)) ? USPosition : PPosition;
to
size_hints.flags |= PPosition;
And set:
UsePPosition "on"
in your .twmrc or .tvtwmrc file.
