I'm somewhat new to epoch and have been trying to install the highlighting
package named tek-src-highlight on epoch. I was able to byte-compile all of the files great and have them load in my .emacs as follows:
(defvar tek-hilight-use-attributes nil)
; Set up an autoload for syntax decoding stuff.
(autoload 'decode-syntax-table "syntax-decode" "autoloadable function" t)
; Highlight comments in source code
(require 'tek-src-hilite-setup)
; Set up autoload of new manual browser
(require 'tek-man-setup)
; Set up autoload of new info browser
(require 'tek-info-setup)
; Customise the mouse drag style
(require 'tek-motion-setup)
; Set up for highlighting in gnus.
(require 'tek-gnus-hilite-setup)
However, when I load a c-file, epoch gives the error:
"Symbol's function definition is void: reserve-attribute"
So I tracked this call down to the file named "tek-src-hilight" where
on line 87 the following call is made:
; Modify the variable used with add-button to be an attribute
(setq tek-src-comment-styleorattribute (reserve-attribute))
Apparently the reserve-attribute call causes the problem. I'm not sure exactly
what to do with this though. (Epoch didn't think it was a built-in function)
Any suggestions?
Thank you
