I tried to install g++ version 1.40.3 (I hope that's the most
recent one :-) ?), but when I tried running 'make maketest'
it failed that it was unable to link symout.c in the gcc (version 2.2.2)
directory.
I checked the directory for this file and it didn't exist :-(

It seems to me it is a problem of non matching versions.
Any suggestion ?
