I have noticed the following difference between gcc.2.2.2 and gcc.2.3.1 when used to compile and link C++ program on a DECstation running Ultrix 4.2. By looking at the output generated by the "-v" option I see that the older version automatically passed a "-L" option to the loader ld to search the default library directory for libg++, while the new compiler doesn't, forcing the user to explicitly specify the path for libg++. Can you please tell me if this a new feature or a bug? Thank you in advance for your kind reply. +---------------------------------------------------------------+ | Antonio Lioy | +-------------------------------+-------------------------------+ | Politecnico di Torino | internet: cat@unix.polito.it | | Dip.
