version: gcc-2.3.3 system: SPARC SunOS4.1.1 In an earlier posting, I had asked if static variables in class templates should be initializeable at the global scope level. I found I could only get them initialized within a function call. This problem has been fixed. By using 'gnu-ld' as the loader, static variables in template classes are now properly initialized. 'ld' that comes with my system (SPARC SunOS4.1.1) did not do it properly. -- =========================================================================== Tom Zougas zougas@me.utoronto.ca Engineering Mechanics and Design Laboratory 416-978-1281 Dept of Mechanical Engineering, University of Toronto, Toronto, CANADA
