In article <25837@life.ai.mit.edu> joe@ConSolve.com (Joe Shapiro) writes: >g++ -pg -o module module.o ../util/libSPModule.a >Undefined >LBE50 >LBB50 >LBE40 >LBB40 >LBE51 >LBB51 >LBE41 >LBB41 >LBE52 These references originate from the libg++ modules sbufvform.o and sbufvscan.o, and appear to be associated with stream i/o. I find that the binaries will often run OK despite these undefined symbols. There are other problems with programs compiled with -pg, but I haven't analysed them sufficiently to give details here. Incidentally, it would be nice if gcc provided some convenient way of feeding flags such as -M, -u and -y to the linker, to help tease such problems apart. Andrew Runnalls
