Firstly, I work for a small system's division for a small company. The machine we develop software on is a wyse 9000 multi-processing box (unfortunately). We have had troubles finding a commercial C++ compiler for the Wyse Unix. The only compiler and debugger that worked for us was g++ 2.1 with gdb. For the past few months we have been using gemacs, gmake, g++ and gdb and we have gotten spoiled. Recently, we have moved to using templates. We need to make a quick decision to either use templates or just do things with macros. We had already tried g++ 2.2.2. It just does not cut it for us, one of most important features it is missing is support for static member template. Now my question is Does g++/gcc 2.3 have better templates support and if so what bugs have been fixed ?. If it is available where can we find it (ftp site). Thirdly, we purchased a tape and few manuals from the free software foundation in the past and if a new version of g++ is available we are very interested in doing so again. In case you keep any records the name of my company is One Call Concepts Inc. Thanks in advance Mohammad Jafar mnjafar@wsuhub.uc.twsu.edu ------- End of forwarded message -------
