Is it true that this is not allowed in C++ (g++)?
#include <stdio.h>
main()
{
const char* str = "init";
str = ( *str == '\0' ) ?
"new":
str ; /* <- problematic line */
printf( "%s\n", str );
}
g++2.2.2 ($ g++ -o jo jo.cc) complains "assignment between incompatible
pointer types". This works
str = str;
I found this kind of stuff in the InterViews package from Stanford (part
of the X11R5 contrib tape).
Should that code work?
