I recently (last week) got gcc2.2.2 and libg++2.2 from prep.ai.mit.edu. Both "made" and installed with little problem on my SGI 4D/25 (iris ver. 4.0.4) The problem came with 'make tests' Only 5 tests made before the make core dumped and failed. Only 1 of these test programs actually seemed to run without errors. Is the libg++ I installed to be trusted? If the supplied tests do not work, what will happen to my own programs? Why is it so difficult to get libg++ and tests to work on the SGI? Thanks for your help. -- Daniel (Dan) F.
