Parse errors in Xlib.h file HELP!!

Hi netters!

I am sorry if this is an FAQ.

I am trying to use the gcc-2.2.2 on Ultrix 4.2. One of my applications
require me to include the X11/Intrinsic.h file which in turn includes the
X11/Xlib.h file. When I try to compile the file with gcc-2.2.2 I get parse
errors in the Xlib.h file.

One of the system persons at my site informed me that since the Xlib.h file
is not in the ANSI C format the gcc-2.2.2 will not be able to parse it.
However, as I found it some what hard to believe immediately, I wanted to know
if some flag needs to be set in the source code for this(like XTFUNCPROTO).

It would be great if this problem cn be solved because without this I am
totally stuck.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
bye
vinay
