When/Where/what is GCC 2.3?

Forgive me if I'm off base, here but:

Several people in this newsgroup and gnu.g++.bugs have made comments like,
"That's fixed in the new release." I assume they are referring to GCC 2.3.

I was wondering:
- where is it being worked on?
- what all will be in it?
- when will it be available?

Is there someplace I can go to find this out? Should I already know all this?

Thanks,
- Ernie P.
