No.  Even compiling the g++ compiler cc1plus right now will be
impossible, because of various problems.  Purely from a volunteer
standpoint, I've been working on getting g++ to work on the Alpha (I'm
fascinated by it).  I'm one serious bug away from making it work.

Support for the Alpha in the C++ front-end for the GNU compiler will,
at the very earliest, appear in the 2.4 release, *maybe*.  That also
carries no guarantees about libg++ (since it, like a lot of things,
was never designed thinking that pointers and ints might not be the
same size).

Once I get something together, I'll ask for some volunteers that have
access to Alpha machines to give my work a hammer-test, to make sure I
caught everything.

Oh, if anyone's been working on this on their own, I'd like to hear
from them.
