I just got g++ up, but the person who got it to me forgot to supply libg++. While I am waiting for this, I decided to try my hand at c++, without the cannonical c++ libraries. The problem is that I cannot link to non-g++ routines. If I declare strncpy, for example: extern char *strncpy (char *, const char*, int) ; g++ creates _strncpy__FPcPCci, which, of course, does not exist. I understand that the suffixed letters are simply abbreviations for the types of arguments that I declared, but how do I keep g++ from doing this appending? I could not find anything in the manual page or the texinfo document. Thanks! -- Wayne Folta (folta@cs.umd.edu 128.8.128.8)
