I used to be a system admin at an university in Fremont, Ca. and the
one problem we had was porting g++ to NEWS 4.1C O/S. Some of the
instructors ordered some VLSI software from Berkeley that compiles
under g++, so it was important to try to get it working.
While gcc was a snap and perfect, g++ would compile correctly but
when you executed it, it created executables that didn't run. I asked
Sony tech support about this, and they claimed someone there had
successfully ported it, but didn't know who. Has anyone, other than
Sony, manage to get g++ up and running?
If so, could they supply me patched source for NEWS, I ran a network
with the 68030-based NWS-1750's.
