static constructors and libraries
#198

I've been told that my description of the problem of static
constructors and libraries on a SPARC was not specific enough.
Enclosed below is a shell archive which contains small test files
whose output is the value of pi. The executable "nolibtest" links two
.o files together without the use of the library, and "libtest" links
the test .o file with the library containing the static initializer.
Both methods SHOULD yield

pi test: 3.14159

My version of nolibtest on a SPARC yields the correct value, and my
version of libtest yields

pi test: 0.00000

Sun CC, DECstation CC and DECstation g++ give the correct value for
both methods.

# This is a shell archive. Remove anything before this line, then unpack
# it by saving it into a file and typing "sh file". To overwrite existing
# files, type "sh file -c". You can also feed this as standard input via
# unshar, or by typing "sh <file", e.g.. If this archive is complete, you
