I'm trying to compile Zinc ( a cross platform GUI library) with g++ 2.6.3. It won't work because 'true' is the name of a Zinc class member, and also seems to be defined in the compiler. I have successfully compiled Zinc on g++ 2.5.8, but don't want to be stuck with using an old compiler version forever. Could anyone tell me if true will remain defined in future releases of g++ ? Thanx in advance, Julian

Yes. Add ' -Dtrue=xtrue' to your CFLAGS. Jason

And watch all of the other libraries break when they start using the
standard:-(.
I would definitly lobby the vendor to change this name. In fact, I
would ask them what they were thinking of when they chose it to begin
with.
