I've ported a small program from OS/2 to Unix. It included simple
file-handling, a (pseudo) random-generator and string-manipulation. But it
did not include Presentation Manager. The job was done after applying just
two or three minor adjustments.
For OS/2 I used the GCC-compiler that has been ported from Unix to OS/2 by
Eberhard Mattes (the EMX-package). And for Unix (Linux in this case) I used
the GCC compiler that came with my Slackware distribution.
I suppose that using GCC-compilers on both platforms makes porting much easier.

Hope this helps,

No, Jan! Arnel wanted to *cross-compile*, not *port*!!

Here's what I'd do:

o	get the OS/2 patches for gcc by Eberhard Mattes
o apply them to the gcc sources
o	build a cross compiler as explained in the INSTALL docs
o	build an OS/2 ld from the Mattes sources
o	copy the OS/2 emx library stubs to your Unix system

You're set! In addition, since emx uses the bsd a.out object file
format [correct me if I'm wrong] you could also use a "regular" Intel
cross compiler if you configure it for a.out.

Hope this helps -- Volker
