I have installed gcc 2.7.2 on a DG-Aviion running DGUX 5.4R3.10. When
The only way I can get debugging information with g++ is by using
-msvr3, as DWARF support is still not there for -msvr4.
But, when I compile a program using
g++ -msvr3 -g ....
I get warnings from the assembler mentioning references to undefined
tag __vtbl_ptr_type. When I look in the .s file, I find that there is
a reference to the tag, but there is no definition of that
structure. If I put the definition (debugging info) by hand, things go
smooth.
As a consequence of these undefined references, I can not use the "set
print object" and "set print vtbl" from gdb when debugging the
programs. ( I can use them after the manual intervention described
above).
I tried to trace through the cp/... files, but have not been able to
find a solution. If you know a solution, it will be really nice if you
could mail it directly to me.
