I don't think genclass can be put out to pasture just yet. From my own experience, g++ still has a long way to go before it can boast full template support. I am a heavy user of template classes, and I have yet to complete a major project using g++ without giving up and resorting to genclass. > Is there any move to convert the gen libraries into template form? Sure would be nice.... I tried to do this, briefly, but grew weary of g++ dumping core. Eventually, I'm sure, the "gen libraries" will be redone as true template classes. However, I seriously doubt that is possible today, under g++-2.x. -- Ben Liblit ----- "Fais que tes reves soient plus longs que la nuit." liblit@cs.psu.edu -- brl102@psuvm.psu.edu -- brl102@psuvm.bitnet
