I'm understanding you to really mean "gen-params isn't compatible with my
personally modified version GNU nm from binutils-1.9."  In that case,
you're on your own.  (In my opinion, it's a mistake for nm to do
demangling by default, though it is fine if there is a flag to demangle.)
