Hi, I hope somebody out there uses g++on an SGI... I ran into an error whil compiling libg++, it needs to use ranlib, but my SGI doesn't have the exec. I am not sure if ranlib is proprietary or not, but I would like to know I I can get around having to use it. I tried taking care of it in the Makefile in the root libg++-2.2 dir, but that didn't work. I am pretty sure the change has to be made at the 'configure' level, but I can't find a flag to turn off ranlib. Any ideas?? personal e-mail would be the preferred response... :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :: Stephen J.
