help installing libg++ with Object Center

I down loaded the file libg++-2.3.tar.Z from mit and am trying to
install it using Object Center.  Does anyone know if this is doable
without too much effort and/or have any pointers?  I've set the CC
macro to point to the Object Center bin, but it looks like there's
more to it than that, since the Makefile refers to gcc all over the
place.

Any hints are appreciated.
