Compiling InterViews with g++

Can anyone tell me how to compile the Interviews toolkit distributed
with the X11R3 tape with g++? I guess the version of Interviews (from
the doc) is 2.4 (August 1988) and we have g++ version 1.33 (also have
1.32 and 1.27).

I got the file InterViews.diffs.Z in pub/gnu at prep.ai.mit.edu, but
apparently those diffs apply to earlier versions of InterViews.

If I compile Interviews as it comes (with AT&T C++), can I then write
code that uses it compiled with g++?
