I wouldn't recommend it to the unwary, and I would make sure I was on
good terms with my users before risking it, but...

I have I extracted _varargs.o from libgcc.a and incorporated it into the
libc.so shared library.  All is now well, seemingly.

If you have seen the problem described, and don't understand my
solution, you almost certainly don't want to do it :-)
