Two files in gnuplot 3.1 are impossible to compile with gcc 2.1:
graphics.c | graph3d.c

sun 4: | cc1 signal 11 | cc1 signal 6
dec station: | cc1 signal 11 | cc1 signal 4
HP 700: | cc1 signal 6 | cc1 signal 6

gcc is used with -g -O or with -g.
