I am on a sparc II running SunOS 4.1.1. This bug appears when I
build gnu diff-1.15 specifying the -O2 flag to gcc (version 2.2.2,
compiled by itself).
If I build diff specifying -O, I can compare the two files included
below (saying diff file1 file2) and diff completes successfully;
if I use -O2 when building diff, I get a segmentation fault in
routine 'diag' (saith gdb).
If I remove one line at the end of each file (make them both one
line shorter) the -O2 diff completes successfully.
The files are delimited by %%% strings; these are not part of the
files. (Sorry about their size; I couldn't make them any smaller and
still have it break.)
