It has several bugs (cc -Ox -CSON causes the compiler to coredump, there are several bugs in the header files, codeview has many bugs, etc). All in all, GCC 2.1 is a far superior compiler. However, what SCO has that is very neat, it support for several different C standards. ANSI, XPG3, SVID, POSIX are all supported. Just change the command line and you have a different compiler (sort of). I have made a i386sco324.h file for GCC 2.1 which emulates this. If anyone has SCO DevSys 3.2v4 and would like to make use of these different standards, let me know and I'll post that file. The way I have done it is not very clean, but it does work. Needless to say, the pre-processor and linker specs are awefully long! Now, all we need to throw SCO's DevSys out th window is a GDB that will read SCO generasted core files. Anyone got THAT working yet? Regards, Kean Johnston maw@netcom.netcom.com
