There seems to be a pattern missing from the vax.md machine description in
gcc-2.1 to dealing with indexed indirect jumps. The program:
extern void *table[];
void try (int i) {
goto *table[i];
}
gives the following error message when compiled with gcc-2.1 on a VAX running
Ultrix 4.1:
try.c: In function `test':
try.c:5: internal error--unrecognizable insn:
(jump_insn 8 7 9 (set (pc)
(mem/s:SI (plus:SI (mult:SI (reg:SI 20)
(const_int 4))
(symbol_ref:SI ("table"))))) -1 (nil)
(nil))
gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 4
I'd appreciate any help in updating the machine description.
Thanks,
Tony Hosking
