-nostdlib variant that includes libgcc?

It would be nice to have an option like -nostdlib, but that includes
libgcc.a in the link (though nothing else the user doesn't specify).  When
linking with nonstandard libraries or startup files, you still need
libgcc.a, and its location is hard to determine in the version 2 scheme of
things.
