I have successfully compiled gcc 2.1 on my ISC UNIX box (sysVr3) after having a terrible time not being able to compile gcc 2.0. I just ran a test of some code (the UDel Network Time Protocol - NTP) whose makefile uses gcc as the default C compiler. This code compiled using gcc 1.39. Now, using gcc 2.1, I get the following message from the second file (after the first one successfully compiles): gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 6 This results in a core dump. Any ideas what is happening? Thanks, Howard Weiss
