We just compiled gcc version 2.1 on a SUN SPARC 1+ computer and noticed the
folowing problem when using dbx:
% dbx trans
Reading symbolic information...
dbx: internal error: unexpected value 38 at line 2620 in file ../common/object.c
%
The program will debug ok with gdb.
The program follows:
/* #define MAX 80 */
const int MAX = 80;
main ( )
{
char from[MAX];
} /* main */
An extremely simple program. If the define is uncommented and the const
commented the dbx is ok. Is this a problem with dbx or with gcc?
We use dbx instead of gdb because dbx allows strings to be printed during
debugging.
