Problem making gcc-2.2.2

  I am having a problem making gcc version 2.2.2 on an RS/6000.

  The problem arises after I configure it for rs6000-ibm-aix and
do a make LANGUAGES=c.

  It goes for a while and I get the following error:


_muldi3
Assembler:
/tmp/ccOS8CZt.s: line 25: Error In Syntax
The error code from the last failed command is 1.

Make Quitting.



  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
