I have a SUN running SUNOS 4.1.2 with X11R5 upto fix 17 compiled with SUN's
compiler. I recently got GCC-2.2.2 and successfully compiled it, and ran the
fix-includes.
Noting the changes required in the README.X11 I applied those patches to X11R5
and attempted to recompile XR5, but alas and alack to no avail, the compile
failed with many repetitions of the the following errors and the ever present
make: Warning: Target `all' not remade because of errors
making all in ./extensions/server...
... deleted some of the output
In file included from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-sunos4.1/2.2.2/include/string.h:6, from ../.././server/include/os.h:106, from ../.././server/include/misc.h:61, from mitmisc.c:24:

*** Error code 1
Being a C novice of the expert catagory, could some kind soul please help me
out and show me the error of my ways and provide me with a solution to this
predicament.
Thanks
Pete
