Yesterday I had a problem compiling P2C with gcc. I wanted to do this using -Zomf -Zmt. The result was an error stating timezone, daylight and tzname where multiple declared in trans.obj. Without -Zomf it worked fine, so I assume it must have been link386. Eventually I traced it back to the fact that <sys/time.h> was included in out.c and <time.h> in trans.c As known time.h declares timezone, etc, whereas sys/time.h declares struct timezone (or vice versa, I forget). I do not not if this has anything to do with the problem, but I do know that removing <time.h> from trans.c resulted in a succesful compile and link. The ultimate goal I had in mind was to reduce the exe size, which -Zomf -Zmt has done for every other app. I recompiled sofar, but it did actually create a larger exe for P2C. Too bad. Anyway, maybe someone knows whats up with this timezone business.
