gcc 2.3.1 on an IBM RT running AOS (4.3BSD), configured as romp-aos, doesn't compile cleanly for me using hc: I get errors on the files that include obstack.h, by virtue of the lines (around line 130): #if defined (__STDC__) && ! defined (offsetof) ... #include <stddef.h> ... #endif The hc compiler defines __STDC__ and yet there is no <stddef.h> on the system. This is obviously a deficiency in the system, but I think it needs to be worked around somehow, so the compiler can be bootstrapped. Perhaps the RT/AOS config files should define offsetof, I don't know. I linked gstddef.h to stddef.h so I could proceed with the compilation, which worked ok until gcc.c was compiled, when there was conflict between <sys/types.h> and the renamed gstddef.h. I just compiled that file with my previous gcc, and everything went ok.
