System i386 / SCO 3.2R2
gcc version 2.3.3

Compiling the following file results in an error message:
g++     xxx.cc   -o xxx
xxx.cc: In function `int  main ()':
xxx.cc:15: member `xxx' is private

But B :: xxx () isn't private ....

class A
{
    int xxx;
};

class B : A
{
public:
    void xxx ();
};

main ()
{
    B b;
    b . xxx ();
}
--- end of file xxx.cc ---
